Our classes are for adult learners and jubilados (adults over 60s). Jubilados students benefit from discount fees.
Classes can be 1:1 or in a group seeting, depending on your learning style and personality.
Classes can be once every week, once every other week or on specific dates (depending on your needs and timetable).

PRACTICAMOS ESPAÑOL CON NOVELAS
These online, and in-person courses, are for students of Spanish who are Upper Intermediate (B1.2+) or above levels.
Depending on your Spanish reading comprehension skills, I offer different courses, where we read authentic Spanish novels in Spanish. We discuss portions allocated for each session, and consider specific grammar use extracted from the allocated reading of each session.
Some of the novels that we consider in our courses, depending on your reading skills level, are:
La ciudad de las bestias, by Isabel Allende.
El salón de ámbar, by Matilde Asensi.
El tiempo entre costuras, by María Dueñas.
Reina roja, by Juan Gómez-Jurado.
Largo pétalo de mar, by Isabel Allende.
We could add different titles depending on the level of the group and interests.

CONVERSATIONAL CLASSES
Our conversational classes are tailored to your learning style. Are you more at ease and relaxed practising your Spanish skills on a 1:1 setting? Or are you more at ease and learn more practising your skills in a small group?
If you feel 1:1 is the option that suits better your learning style and personality, what time do you have available to practise your Spanish? Sessions can be of 15 min, 30 min, 45 min or a full hour.
Conversational classes are offered from Lower Intermediate level (A2.2 - B1.1) and above to adults and 60+ learners.
1:1 conversational classes are offered throughout the year depending on tutor’s availability.
Group classes are offered during the months of June-August.

Practicamos español con novelas: "Reina roja"
Estos encuentros son tanto para nativos como para hablantes de español de nivel C2+.
Para no perder frescura y fluidez con nuestro español necesitamos seguir practicándolo y tener un input regular de la lengua española. Es por eso, que ofrezco esta oportunidad para leer & comentar el bestseller Reina Roja del escritor Juan Gómez-Jurado en un ambiente relajado.
Los lunes, de 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Fechas: un lunes al mes durante cuatro meses.
Los encuentros serán en este pub londinense, en la zona de Islington: The Canonbury Tavern.
En nuestros encuentros haremos lo siguiente:
- comentar una porción de la novela,
- ampliar nuestro repertorio de vocabulario con expresiones o palabras menos frecuentes,
- y practicar la lectura en voz alta de porciones de la novela.
Máximo de estudiantes: 8 (mínimo dos estudiantes para abrir el curso)
Precio: £ 25.00 + IVA (20%) = £ 30.00 por encuentro
£30.00 x 4 encuentros = £120.00 por el curso
Descuento disponible para jubilados (60+).
Las fechas de los encuentros las decidirán los miembros del grupo que estén interesados, junto con la disponibilidad de la tutora.

Practicamos español con novelas: "El tiempo entre costuras"
Our “textbook” will be an authentic non-adapted novel in Spanish. The bestseller El tiempo entre costuras, by María Dueñas.
This course is for students who have a B2.2 level (Upper Advanced) or above for reading comprehension skills.
We will meet online the first Monday of every month from November, 2024 to July, 2025 (with this exemption due to the bank holiday: 12 May)
Time: 6.15 to 7.30 p.m.
Maximum of students: 8 (Two spaces left available). Students can join in January 2025.
Price: £ 25.00 + IVA (20%) = £30.00 per meeting
£30.00 x 9 meetings = £270.00 whole course
Discount available for jubilados: Over 60s.In this course you will practise:
- Reading comprehension skills
- Speaking and interaction skills
- Widen your repertoire of vocabulary and colloquial expressions
- Discussion and practise of some grammar points taken from extracts of the novel
- Pronunciation: reading out loud small portions of the novel

Conversations in Spanish at The National Gallery, London
Do you love art? Are you looking for opportunities to practise your speaking in Spanish in an informal setting in London?
What about if you could join both things?
Beatriz is offering the opportunity to practise your Spanish at this landmark in London: The National Gallery.
The National Gallery will be our space to practise your Spanish on a 1:1 or 2:1 setting.
Beatriz will facilitate the materials and the topics we will discuss during this 1 hour meeting. The paintings in this wonderful gallery will be the stimulus for our discussions in Spanish.Your level of Spanish can be from A2 to C2.
For groups of 2 persons, students need to be on a similar level of Spanish (speaking & interaction skills).

Our meetings can be organized once per month or just as an stand-alone meeting.

1:1 Conversation classes in Spanish
Online or in-person classes (in London: Islington or Stoke Newington area) available for students who need to practise their Spanish in conversation. All levels are available.
Clases will be tailored to student level and needs. In these classes we can practise: conversation skills (improvised and prepared topics), role-plays, pronunciation exercises, reading out loud and listening comprehension exercises.
You can choose the duration of the class depending on your timetable: 15 min, 30 min, 45 min or 1 hour.
